The Terrace club

Two Generations of “I Do’s”

In 2000, Dripping Springs, TX was a one-stoplight town with a small grocery store and home to a brand new wedding venue – The Terrace Club.

With the growing popularity of hill country weddings, we had one of our first weddings, and on October of 2000, Nathan and Tonia Jones said “I do” overlooking the gorgeous Texas Hill Country under the Fall setting sun!

Fast forward 15 years and there are now more than three dozen venues spread across 17 miles surrounding Dripping Springs, now dubbed the Wedding Capital of Texas!

With so many venues to choose from, we were lucky enough that Crystal (pictured on the right in the photo above) decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and marry her prince charming, Stephen Broussard, on June 19, 2015 right here at The Terrace Club!

It all started 10 years ago when Stephen and Crystal were both on their senior trips in Cancun, Mexico! Stephen had graduated from a small school in Bridge City and Crystal from a high school in Austin. Even though their high schools were over 250 miles apart, fate had a plan, and put them both at the same resort! They both remember first seeing one another on a bus leaving the hotel – Crystal thought he was the most handsome boy she had ever seen, and Stephen thought she was absolutely beautiful.

Although they didn’t keep in touch after the trip, neither one ever really forgot about the other. Have you ever thought about “the one who got away”… well Stephen and Crystal had! Nine years later, while reconnecting with his friends from the Cancun trip, Stephen couldn’t help but think about where Crystal was and how she was doing. But he wasn’t the only one! About the same time, Crystal was having brunch with her group of friends from the Cancun trip thinking, “I wonder what Stephen is up to?” It wasn’t long until fate was back at it, and a month later they were on their first official date! A year later they were engaged, picking the same exact venue to say “I do” where her mother had 15 years before! Talk about a cinderella story!

And the rest is history….
